    Col,
I'm intrigued by the double RH mechanism of the drill, I think I'd like the breast drill (if it also has this mech) just for its cleverness. However, if someone else wants it who will actually use it please give it to them. I own more than 20 corded/cordless drills and am highly unlikely to actually use it, but I have bought some old stuff just for its craftsmanship.

That tricky mechanism does sound intriguing. But I think I would just like one of thew two speed other drills. (With the bigger chuck? My other one only takes small drills so I'd like it to do bigger ones. ) Will PM details.

That's as good a reason as any for owning one of these beautifully-designed machines, Mick.

Actually, the reason I've become so interested in these early 20th Century tools is because so many of them were ingeniously designed and very well made.

Anyway, to answer your question, the other #555 breast drill has the same mechanism as the one I'm sending Darren. So, if you'd like it, pm with with your address details and I'll send it to you.

OK - Tolovar, MB, TL and Mr C - the drills are on their way to you. Sorry for the delay, I had a sudden upsurge in workload and I also had to go down South for a couple of days. Anyway, that all got in the way of me parcelling them up. All done now.

I'm pretty sure it's a good thing too. Enjoy it while you can, she must still be pre-I-know-it-all stage.

You hold the thingy, get small boy to hold the drill while facing you , then you ( still holding the thingy) walk around small boy until you are behind him , then let the thingy go , or something like that
