Cooking with Kale

I have never eaten kale.

Obviously you don’t go to hipster cafes then. There’s a Dutch dish which is basically a mix of mashed potato and boiled kale. I’ve had it and I can’t remember it being excessively horrible, but I doubt I’d ever cook it.

Me either

Correct!

Neither do I, although I inadvertently walked into a street food market in Hobart which was a hipster get together fest. Was too bloody hungry to leave before I got something to eat. In hindsight we should have gone to a servo and heated up a pie.

It tastes like chicken…

Kale is marketed as a ‘Super Food’. There is no such thing as a super food. A few foods have slightly higher concentrations of nutrients than some others but that doesn’t make them super.

Kale isn’t even as nutritious as spinach. I love spinach and can take or leave kale.

Been having woolies kaleslaw salad mix as part of my lunches. Dont know which bit is the kale, but it doesnt taste to bad.

Yeah, well that’s not the kale bit.
