Jnr cricket u12's

Young fella cracked his first half century Friday night, 54 no after opening the batting. Had to retire after 25 balls, 34 no at that point. Came back in with 1 wicket to fall and proceeded to whack 5 boundaries in the next two overs.

Tried to retain strike at end of over, went for reasonably safe single but the runner at the other end was asleep and was run out.

Took a wicket in his second over, rank full toss knocked the middle peg out of the ground and had the batsman stepping back after the previous one went whistling through about shoulder high and quicker than anything he had ever seen.

Nice catch at mid wicket rounded out the game nicely.

Been called on a couple of times to fill in at U 14’s and is holding his own, took a wicket in his last game and was 2 no in a partnership of 16 at the conclusion of the game.

Coming along quite nicely.

Good stuff, we could use a few more that are good all round.

All very well, but don’t you wish he was sitting around playing on his iPad?:imp:

Well done, good to see him coming along.

Great stuff, MB.

Yeah that is my hope, instead he wants to get outside, play sport ang go okay at it.

Joy oh Joy!

U11 soccer training starts tonight, he is up a level now and so will get to travel to surrounding towns to play as well.
Training two nights a week, cricket training one night a week and games Friday night and Saturday morning if called up to U14’s.

Guitar lessons currently Thursday nights as well, that will shift to Wednesday when cricket is finished.

No time left for swimming for me, don’t want to use the “R” word, but it has to be getting close.
