Well it would appear that quick, and incorrect, judgements have cost Australia a bloody good coach.
The abuse of Boof and family is unforgivable. However, for the reasons cited by himself, he made the right decision. Three members of the team he coaches, three guys he obviously could not “coach” to think in a way which was honourable have done the wrong thing in the most spectacular way. If that’s not a bigger coaching failure than losing the ashes, I don’t know what is, and I’m a fan of Boof’s ways.
In short, it wasn’t the incorrect judgement of the public that cost Australia the coach, it was his own shortcomings which sadly came home to roost in the worst way possible.
