Why are ANU & UC students in general such stuckup pricks/b@$ches?

I am a Canberra resident and during casual encounters I to deal with both ANU and UC students. I have never noticed such stuck up entitled brats. This doesn’t apply to all of them but most of them.

Generally I’ve noticed the average ANU and UC students are irritable, stuck-up, selfish, inconsiderate, prone to hissy-fits, demanding, snobbish, self-righteous, uppity, toffee-nosed and lordly. I bet they can’t even pronounce the word “generosity”.

Below is a list of what I am talking about…

  1. They sneer at non-uni people. They hate “low-income” people like tradies/nurses but oddly act fake nice to homeless drug addicts.
  2. Go to shitty venues like Manuka/DFO as it gives them Euphoria apparently.
  3. Oh and it’s the apocalypse if they find out someone dropout of their country clubs err I mean higher education universities.
  4. They all want to be APS employees or work in Parliament House…

Why is it that ANU and UC students are the worst (in personality) uni students. While ACU, CSU, UO, UNSW, UON and UNE students are tolerable (at least relatively)?

Maybe they’re cunts? Dunno. Been a long time since I’ve been within cooee of a University.

Oxymoron, low income tradie.
Where is Canberra?

I have worked with a few UNE kids (probably 30 and counting over the years) and the vast majority are bright, engaging and pretty down to earth. Mostly country kids.

Ain’t that the truth. :)

Free education is at fault.

It’s an unearned “gift” to which everyone is “entitled”. So they feel the entitlement.

The sooner education has to be earned the sooner we’ll see a return to respect for it. Free stuff is valueless.

You know that we haven’t had free university education for 3 decades?

as this is coming from a man who (I presume) benefited from Whitlam’s education policy, I guess you’re having a joke :)

Well no, I came from a system where you worked for the results, you got a scholarship which covered fees. That was effectively free, but it was “earned”.

But we have had valueless education. Ask anyone who doesn’t intend to pay off their hecs debt… Our kids payed as they went, and worked very hard to do that, the youngest completed three degrees with no debt. They all have friends (around their 40’s now) who have either not worked at all, or worked below the minimum threshold for Hecs payments… if that’s not free it was education that was either stolen or had no value.
