Where We Was

Puggle Lane, looked for them but didn’t find any.
They are a Marsupial and quite common until you have the camera out

We had a quoll try and get into our chicken coop a few weeks ago.
My son heard some noise about 3 am one morning and went out to investigate.
I didn’t believe him when he told me, but he promptly showed me video footage he had taken with his phone, and sure enough it was a quoll.

I didn’t even know there were any in our area.

Got a pic of this bird as well, big grey bastard that cruises with seagulls, anyone know what they are?

Yes I do realise that :)
We get quite a few echidnas around our place.

BTW echidna’s are actually monotremes, not marsupials.

Had a Ford Transit at one time it was called Puddles, everytime you stopped water would run out but we never figured where from.

Looks like a young Pacific Gull to me.
http://nzbirdsonline.org.nz/species/pacific-gull

about 3-4 times the size of a seagull, not uncommon just big with a very prominent beak.

Yeah, egg laying mammals. Nature is absolutely amazing in all it’s almost infinite diversity and yet here we are doing our best to completely fuck it. :(

Truly, the sooner we (humans) are gone, the better for the planet.

If we haven’t managed to turn it into an arid rock (like Mars) by then.

There was, they just put it on the bottom.

So it can slip over the waves.

I’ve heard it said that there’s nothing quite like onion on the bottom.

But mustard is painful…

They tell me that using the wrong jar of the two starting with V can also be very interesting.
